ABOUT US

Endurance Training Society launched in 2023 with the aim of providing a unique training environment that catered to the demands of a wide variety of individual endurance athletes with a core focus on balancing high performance endurance training is an inclusive, supportive, social setting.

In addition to offering a range of Individual Performance Coaching packages and some of the highest reviewed triathlon Training Camps, ETS provides 8 weekly structured Group Training sessions for Adults and  another 4 dedicated session for it’s Junior Academy across the 3 Triathlon disciplines of Swim, Bike and Run.

Endurance Training Society has already established itself as a  leading triathlon club in Dubai and is continuing to evolve with new training sessions, club partners and assistant coaches pending implementation.

Ryan Christian - Head Coach & Founder

Ryan has been involved in high performance sports his whole life, firstly as a National Level Middle Distance Runner and then as an Elite Age Group Triathlete, and finally a Professional Triathlete. Ryan knows what it takes to reach your athletic potential.

In addition to his undergraduate degree (BSc Sport and Exercise Science + Hons), Ryan worked for 4 years as a research scientist, studying the effects of extreme environments such as heat and altitude on fatigue, while working with both elite athletes and professional teams.

After taking up triathlon in 2013, Ryan Qualified for the Ironman World Champions in Kona in 2015 and 2016 and after winning the Olympic Distance Age Group World Championships in 2019 decided that his next challenge would be to race as a professional. He did so in 2022 with a 10th place finish at Ironman 70.3 Dubai in a time of 3:47:12

After coaching for multiple Triathlon clubs in both Qatar and the UAE and working with a diverse range of athletes of all levels and backgrounds, Ryan now focuses on using his experience to develop ETS into the best triathlon club it can be. 

Richard Farren - Lead Performance Coach

Richard is a certified Ironman coach, sports coach, physical education teacher, sport scientist, sport fanatic and triathlete. Sport has been a passion of his from a very young age. After a knee injury prevented him from a rugby career, he discovered triathlon – a sport he has been obsessed with ever since.

He has competed in almost every triathlon distance possible, from super sprint to full Ironman. Over the years, he has specialised in 70.3 distance and moved from first timer to age grouper to World Championship qualifier.

With a decade of coaching triathlon under his belt, a first class honours degree in Exercise and Sport Science, and a Masters in Education, Richard is ready to help you achieve your triathlon goals!
